I used my homegrown goodies: tomato sauce, onions, carrots, green beans, chicken broth. I added mushrooms from Rocky Mnt Mushroom in Shoshoni. I included store bought celery, tofu, barley, quinoa. It simmered all morning while I curled up in front of the heater and read a good book. I had it for lunch with a slice of homemade gluten free bread and homemade apple butter. Hmmm, Life doesn't get much better.
I also roasted some squash seeds - but these weren't the really good ones from the squash I got from Peil's SonHarvest. Not too bad tasting in the soup though.
