Doesn't that picture crack you up?? That's a bunch of hens at a cackle!!! Actually, it's butcher chickens at L&C Poultry Processing waiting to be packaged up and frozen.
I drove over to visit with Chris Sherrard at her processing plant last week while they were working. I mentioned in a Blog that I had fresh, local chicken for dinner and it was one of Chris'. They are really yummy....you'll never go back to store bought chicken again!
You can contact Chris at L & C Poultry Processing, 197 Bee Road, Riverton, 851-4321. They have chicken for sale, or you can rent their processor and butcher your own chickens. She also has Chris's Hen House for all your egg needs. Give her a call.
Don't you love these beautiful Autumn days?? Have been busy cleaning up the last of the garden...dug carrots and potatoes, got all the winter squash in the shed, ate the last of the watermelon, planted garlic, gathered up the tomato cages. Still need to pick the dry zinnia and marigold seeds, and the bean seeds for storage until next year. Will spread compost, mow everything down, and be done for another year!!
