I updated my banner photo to show what my spring garden looks like. It is a little bare right now as I haven't had a chance to plant much between rains. O man, I'm not complaining one bit about the moisture!!
Jim and I cleaned out the cellar this weekend. Would you believe we still have onions, squash, and potatoes?!! I planted an acorn variety called Sweet Potato and it was a great keeper!! I will plant more this year. The onions and potatoes are starting to sprout, but they sure lasted a long time in the cellar this winter.
We have been pigging out on asparagus - stir fried, steamed, grilled, in salads, and scrambled eggs. I will be pickling some this week...will let you know how they turn out.
Be sure to attend the 1st Farmer's Market in downtown Riverton next week - May 29 from 5-7.
