What a day to stay in by the fire!! Of course, as farmers, we love any kind of moisture we can get. And even looking at all that snow, we know that Spring will be here in 39 days!! Well, officially it will be here, but we know that Wyoming has very fickle spring weather, so we won't be setting out tomatoes any time soon. But you know spring is right around the corner when you get Seed catalogs in the mail every other day...don't you just love pouring over all the beautiful pictures of veggies and fruits and flowers!! O MY! Generally, we are a zone 4 around Riverton, but there a pockets that are colder or warmer. I have a garden spot that is somewhat protected from our nasty WY wind, but gets full sun. I can expect to garden earlier and later than others around me. But Lander and Dubois are another story altogether! It takes a lot of determination to garden in those areas...and some good protection like low tunnels and row cloth. If you have a hoop house or greenhouse, you can start some veggies, but don't get in too big a hurry or they will be too leggy by the time it's time to plant outside. You should be able to grow some lettuce and greens in a sunny window...so what are you waiting for??
